@ "mad" Miles: Napa has a large riverfront exposure, and it's not far from the bay.. I've seen a video showing a large roller, (the tsunami) as it arrived in Oakland.. if it was bigger it could have done major damage all around the Bay area..

I just saw a new-to-me video of the tsunami as it came in over a wall and up a waterway.. absolutely unbelievable force and devastation.

As I understand it, this would not happen in the same way here, as Japan is right on the edge of a tectonic plate, that is still in violent motion.. they had a 6.5 quake, today, along with hundreds of other shocks, since the original one that caused the tsunami.
However up in Crescent City, they have a sort of funnel, that directed the wave power into their harbor, wrecking their whole fishing fleet, pretty much..
