Anyone seen any Juniperus Californica tress in Sonoma County? If so, where?

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi, Jeff,
Juniperus californica has not been documented from Sonoma Co., according to A Flora of Sonoma County (Best et al. 1996) and other references; my limited observations corroborate that. North coastal CA is about the only part of the state where this juniper doesn't grow, but you don't have to go far to find it: Lake, Colusa, and other interior counties have at least scattered trees. Here's an online reference where you can find information on the ranges and distributions of plants in California: https://ucjeps.berkeley.edu/interchange.html

Thank you very much! This is a great resource for me, as I'm trying to learn how to identify various native plants. Thanks again.
