Isaiah is a sweet old guy who loves company. He'll purr at the very sight of you, which is probably more than you can say about many of the people in your life.

But he is being retired by his family and needs a good home to live out his days. The ideal home is one without other cats. Even though he has six toes (he's a Hemingway cat), poor Isaiah has no claws to defend himself. He might also be better off in a home (or barn or shed) without carpets, since he has a touchy stomach and is known to leave his recycled dinner on the floor.

This is a tall order for an adoption call, I know, but it is poor Isaiah's last chance. I'm getting choked up as I write this, but I can't give him a home, and he's being evicted from my ex'es house. At his age, he doesn't stand much of a chance of surviving the pound (because of competition for adoption), so I'm trying to save his life.

Would you like to meet him? Do you know a place where a good mouser and a good companion might be welcome?
