The sonoma county board of supervisors has approved $65,000 or something like that, for an outside audit/examination of practices and policies at the county animal shelter. A lot of us who care about animals and who have been concerned about the high rate of euthanasia and low priority of prevention and education at the shelter have been heard. If you want to thank the supervisors in person, be at the board meeting room on administration drive by 8:45 am Tuesday. A call or letter would be great too. You did not state what date this meeting is taking place. I have just encountered this message and it is already Tuesday, August 2nd, at 10:40 AM. I hope this meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday the 9th.
