Some of you may have noticed that your WaccoBB.net Daily Digests have been coming through with "{Disarmed}" in the subject and also "MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from 'www.waccobb.net' claiming to be Tell a Friend about WaccoBB.net!” as part of a link. Here's my understanding of what's happening:
The {Disarmed} thing is from some spam blocker in the chain of programs that deliver email. It sees that there is an in-line image that could be used as a web-bug to track your IP address etc. Unfortunately, they can’t discriminate between harmless images and web-bugs. The images contained in the digest are safe. I don’t know if there is anything to be done about that.
The MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from 'www.waccobb.net' claiming to be Tell a Friend about WaccoBB.net!” is from a link that MailScanner thought was suspicious. I have re-formatted that link so that it shouldn’t arouse suspicion in the future.
