2010 was quite the year! I know that it was particularly challenging for many of you, while being sweet for others. For me, it was marked by two major transitions: moving to Marin to live with Mrs. Wacco (while keeping a base in Sebastopol) and a major upgrade to the technology that drives WaccoBB.

I'm glad to say that the heavy lifting of creating these transitions has been completed on both fronts and I'm looking forward to enjoying and growing in my new environments! You'll begin seeing the fruits of that growth here in the days ahead.

Does the same theme apply to you? Have you reached some level of completion on a major (difficult?) transition? Is your perch from where you look out to 2011 improved by the work/acceptance/letting go/opening you did in 2010? Will you share a bit with us?

Mrs. Wacco and I want to wish you courage, strength and grace to fulfill your dreams in 2011!

Wow, does it ever! 2010 was difficult, challenging, frustrating, transformative, and full of heavy lifting for me personally, on all levels. But it served to make me aware of some major changes needed in my personal life/relationship. This new year I vow to laugh more, to be happy, and to participate only in relationships that are healthy, loving, supportive, and, most importantly, that all parties participate in fully and equally. I will be making the leap from married to single mother, and am working on setting up the necessary infrastructure to facilitate this transition. Namely, a stable job that will support my daughter, animals, and self, and a place I can afford on my own, or with a roommate, and can still have my animals, and can implement permaculture gardens/farming/principles. I will work on saving money to buy some acreage to live/farm with my brother.

This year I give myself to permaculture, to sustainable local farming and living, to learning more homesteading skills, taking it to the next level on all fronts. I will take the lessons learned and the growth achieved this past year, and apply them to my life. I will have faith that when I leap, the universe will provide the net. This year I will reach out, utilize and expand my networks, making new friends, new connections, and allowing myself to bloom in all the ways that have been lacking for the last many years.

No longer paralyzed by fear, I am excited and hopeful, and cannot wait to see the wonderful things thid year holds in store for us.

Blessed be. :waccosun:
