Because many here drive along the river or may do so I feel I should say this.
Panic is most likely what killed this woman.
If your car is under water your electronics may go out and the force of the water trying to get in will hold the doors shut until the car fills up with water. Forget the door, go out the windows, If your in a newer car you will have to break your windows Use the seat belt buckle or something hard to shatter your side windows, or kick your way out, be ready for the water you will be deluged. If your under water, know which way is up by where the bubbles go , Don't panic
