When I tried explaining the movie to my 16 year old daughter, she retorted afterwards, "Your description makes me not want to see the movie." However, after we saw it she said she liked it.
So, aside from giving away what the movie is about (which wouldn't be any fun), I greatly fear, based on personal experience as you can see, revealing the storyline. I will say this; the film is very, very low budget, which can actually serve as an incentive because there are no special effects to make you go ooooh, aaaaw. Not a single shot is fired in the entire movie! Can you believe that? I didn't know it was possible to see a good movie these days without at least one explosion and/or bullets flying around.
It is simple, down to earth, realistic movie about people's lives. The real thing, not James Bond, Brangelina, or anything like that. And because the movie is so realistic and revealing about real people, that is probably why it is so good and won 8 awards from 6 different film festivals, listed below.
Hope this helps.

I really liked this movie as well. I saw it in a theater when it first came out and I remember it well.
