Someone contacted us who had it! Thanks for all the looks! Last night my son Olembe brought a really nice Kalimba (African thumb piano) to the African International Festival in Sebastopol last night. It actually belonged to his Dad, Okili, and was a handmade gift, expensive to replace. It was last seen being played by a "white" guy who was with the Peruvian musicians while they were in the dining room area playing. My son had set it down in there while going outside in the rain. When he came back he didn't look for it too hard because he thought Sena told him it was with me, his Mom. But actually she was talking about some small musical shakers that we bought from her. Does anyone know how to contact members of the Peruvian group that was playing there in the dining room? It is a beautiful brown toned wood instrument, rectangular in shape, with metal harmonic sounding pieces, and little colored beeds that shake on the end. So far, it's not been returned to the Vets building, nor to organizers of the event. Or if anyone knows of someone who mistakenly took it home with them, it would be very graciously appreciated to have it returned. The Kalimba means a lot to both Olembe and Okili. Good Karma and peace, dear community!
