View Full Version : Prince Andrew railed against American ignorance

The obvious retort from most Americans is that Prince Andrew is a member of a royal family and that he is a foreigner. What Americans won't take into consideration is that Prince Andrew is also, by default, a permanent member of the UK government; the UK (United Kingdom) is the strongest ally that the United States has. And the UK participated in the illegal and immoral wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in order to respect that alliance. The UK is fed up with supporting the US, right or wrong, especially considering that this support has also been paid for with the blood of their children, who have died in the extensive military operations in both of America's wars (and many other 'enterprises').

The UK, and for that matter, Prince Andrew, is in a very good position to tell the majority of the American people that they are indeed very, very ignorant. The UK and the British people, have earned this right in abundance and in blood, and it is a part of Prince Andrew's duty to his country to say so. Furthermore, he is 100% correct:

The UK, and for that matter, Prince Andrew, is in a very good position to tell the majority of the American people that they are indeed very, very ignorant. The UK and the British people, have earned this right in abundance and in blood, ... and often by having amazingly good educations. I've worked with British engineers, for god's sake, who know more about American history than most Americans I know. I remember taking an English class with an American engineer who made a point of standing up and registering his objection to having to waste his time learning such nonsense when he'd never have to write anything more than a couple of technical memos.
And on the subject of the WikiLeaks revelations, isn't it funny that so far there's not a damn thing coming out that isn't commonly known already? Unless like Claude Rains you're shocked, shocked! by the backstabbing and hypocrisy of world leaders...
