to join EcoVision Sebastopol
A growing coalition working
to develop the vision of a "holistic sustainable city-center"
in downtown Sebastopol!

May 6th 10 AM - 2 PM
Community-wide planning meeting
Brookhaven Middle School, 7905 Valentine Ave.
A specific planning process is currently underway for the Northeast area of town (between downtown and the Laguna). We have the opportunity to inform the city council and the land-owners of our visions for sustainable development, including ideas such as a community center, holistic wellness center, community gardens, and “eco-mall” while preserving the integrity of the Laguna and creating a sense of place for our downtown.
Our expressed interests and ideas will help the developers design how the area will be zoned, as well has how to address issues such as flooding, traffic and land-use.
As a coalition, we will be gathering on May 5 in order to discuss our ideas of what sustainable development might include, and present some alternatives to the suggestions of the current consultants. We will meet at Restorative Technologies, 1448 Industrial Ave. off 116 S. from 7-10 for the meeting portion, and then interconnect, network and dance from 10-12 with DJ Dragonfly.
On May 6 the city council and the project consultants are hosting a community-wide planning meeting which will be formatted as a workshop in order to gain public input and participation. We will here present our united concepts to the planning process.This meeting will take place at Brookhaven Middle School, 7905 Valentine Ave. from 10-2.
This coalition is comprised of YOU/US, and needs your brilliant input and participation! Please join us in helping to create a holistic sustainable community town center in Sebastopol and actualize this collective vision!
