We've been shouting and ranting about Mexicans crossing our southern borders illegally. We've been throwing a fit about a Mosque at Ground Zero and Obama snuck " The Clear Act, " through the House without our permission.

i lost heart for a while. had to take a break. treason is treated very lightly. has been for some time now. patriot act, military commissions act, reauthorization of patriot act, bailouts, healthcare bill, billions for the israeli war machine while americans are hungry, jobless and homeless, corporations as people, refusal to impeach or prosecute bush/cheney, wars of conquest, slaughter and genocide, okay to assassinate american citizens without evidence or trial, oaths of allegiance to a foreign nation, these are just the most popular. it goes on and on. we all know what they are.
this long post is all i have left to say. i am tired. i am disillusioned and i am very worried about our future.
we are funding our own demise.
in the name of all that is sane and life-sustaining, please do not vote for an incumbent. not even your own. no more ron paul, no dennis kucinich, no one. no one.
if you must vote, vote for an independent. change your registration right away. do not vote for a republican. i will not vote for a democrat, either, but if you must, vote for a progressive.
the administration and the congress are treasonous to a person. they don't even hide it anymore.
what will we do now? france? greece?

What's Happening to our Country ?

PUTTING IT ALL INTO PERSPECTIVE
Did you know that we allowed roughly 96% of the incumbents to be reelected in the last election? We allowed people to keep their jobs that committed the worst betrayal of the American people in history by Bailing Out Wall Street and giving them total control of the U.S. Treasury - with blanket immunity from prosecution tossed in for good measure! We threw away a golden opportunity to hold them all accountable. WE just ignored an incredible chance to FIRE THEM ALL! Instead of voting them all out of office, half the voters were content to just dance around singing the mantra "Change We can Believe In" as if it was actually going to happen without cleaning out the den of thieves in the Congress.
While all attention was fixated on the totally controlled presidential race, everyone ignored the heart of the problem, the Congress! The powers-that-be con everyone into believing all the power lies with El Presidente. Well, it doesn't my friends. The Congress has more power than the executive branch and . .

Thank you for contacting me with your concerns about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with me on this important matter.
Please know that I remain a strong supporter of both Israel's right to exist as a sovereign nation and its right to defend itself from violent attacks. The devastation and death on both sides are inexcusable and deeply sadden me. Both Palestinians and Israelis must remain committed to reaching a peaceful resolution of the conflicts if they are ever able to attain any lasting security.
With Israelis living in fear of suicide bombings and rocket attacks and Palestinians continuing to live under terrible conditions, the situation between Israel and the Palestinians remains unsustainable. The Palestinian leadership needs to take active steps to eradicate acts of terrorism, and Israel must allow the Palestinian people the resources to work towards peace and stability. It's my hope that the U.S. will return to its role as an honest broker and make a concerted effort to bring Israelis and Palestinians to the negotiating table in order to end this on-going crisis. Please know that I will keep your thoughts in mind as I continue to work toward a just two-state solution in the Middle East that guarantees Israel's security and provides self-determination for the Palestinians.
Again, it's good to hear from you. The people of Marin and Sonoma counties are the most important voices I listen to as I serve in Congress.
