Dear One,
* Did you ever wonder how the spiritual principles taught in modern metaphysical classes are reflected in ancient writings?
* Are you a "show me" spiritual seeker?
On Sunday, October 17th, I will speak on the topic, "Prove Me Now Herewith." There are several places in the Bible where God seems to be challenging us to try Him out on his promises. Accepting the promises of God was how the tribal people in the Old and New Testaments lived within spiritual principle, without calling it that. Come on Sunday and find out how these Biblical promises reflect the most basic spiritual truths. The promises are so solid, we can prove them to ourselves by trying them out, just like we prove the Creative Law by using it.
Our music will be our own Karen Drucker. It will be so fabulous to be held by Karen's music. She is an author now...of a book, that is. So if you do not have a copy of Let Go of the Shore, Sunday is your chance. If you have not met Karen Drucker.... let me just say – this is a great opportunity to experience Karen’s heart and talent!
Munchie Reminder: after the services this Sunday, folks with G, H, and I in their names are asked to bring ready-to-serve food to share. So, thank you in advance!
I am offering a six-week class based on Deepak's book, Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul. This class began last Tuesday evening, but you can still come and join us. It is a wonderful class and Deepak's teachings are very harmonious with Science of Mind. The very inexpensive price is $60. It is held at the Learning Center, beginning at 7pm.
Back by popular demand is Janet Carol Ryan's powerful class, A Grateful Heart. This is a four-week class on four Tuesdays in November, minus the Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. Your life will improve as you open to the blessings all around you.
Our New Member Party will be held at Sue's in honor of the new members who are joining our spiritual family. If you are a prospective new member, please plan on coming at 7pm. If you would like to welcome the new members, please arrive a bit earlier with ready-to-serve finger food to share.
Thanksgiving is coming up. Do you, by chance, have a home big enough to offer a community-wide Thanksgiving Dinner and do you have the desire? In the past the host home cooks the turkey and guests bring everything else. Please give the office a call, if our wonderful Thanksgiving host is you.
Two movies are on our calendar to instruct and uplift. These are presented by New Thought Productions. The movies are "Lifted" on Saturday, Oct. 23rd at Unity of Marin and "Humanity Ascending" on Friday, November 5 at the Corte Madera Recreation Center. See you there!
