In the old system, New Posts would bring up all new posts for the last 7 days, whether or not you have seen them.
In the new system, New Posts skips posts that you have already viewed.
How do you think it should work?

Sometimes I want to go back and find a new post I have viewed recently. The new way would make it harder to find. :):

Perhaps I'm one of the few people who regularly used the "Mark All Read" button on the old menu. When I clicked it, the next time I logged on only new posts showed. I hope that mod or whatever it was will work and get installed on the new system.
Your question, I'm guessing, is about a "New Messages" button, which I'm not in the habit of using. But your topic is about showing new posts, so I thought I'd toss my little aside in here.
Thank you veddy veddy much!

The "What's New" link on the top menu in the CoolBlue style now returns all posts from the last 7 days.
The New Posts link in the footer returns Posts from the last day that you haven't seen online yet.
Please let me know how this works for you.

Hey, Where'd the "Mark All Categories Read" or whatever it was called, go!? It was here earlier today, and now it's gone. Please bring it back, I use it every time I'm done with "Recent Posts"!!

It's on the bottom of the Bulletin Board Home page (with the list of categories).
