Visioning for Your Life
Dear One,
· Would you like to know how to be the best for the world?
· Does inspiration about how to be creative in times of social, economic, and planetary upheaval sound good to you?
Come to your spiritual Center this Sunday to hear visionary, James O’Dea speak and deliver a workshop on the topic of Igniting Creativity in Times of Personal and Planetary Upheaval. James O’Dea is the author of the book we are studying in our book study now, entitled, Creative Stress: A Path for Evolving Souls Living Through Personal and Planetary Upheaval. O’Dea is the former President of the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He was also the director of the Washington DC office of Amnesty International. He has worked with two US Presidents and has represented Amnesty International at the World Conference on Human Rights. We have the opportunity to be in the presence of this brilliant, compassionate man on Sunday. This would be a great Sunday for you to bring your friends.
James O’Dea will offer a workshop, with the same - yet, deepened theme, at the Learning Center, Sunday afternoon from 1 - 4pm for the suggested admission of $20. For complete details about James, please visit https://www.jamesodea.com/
Our music for Sunday is our own Posi Lyon with wonderful keyboardist, Ross Gualco. These two loving and talented musicians fill the room with their heart-opening music. We, all of us, will also be singing a videoed song to be shared with our sister community in Ukraine at their Annual Conference. Be sure to have your sweet face in the video.
This is a reminder about the munchies after the services; this Sunday, August 29 the people with J K and L in their names are asked to bring some food to share. An important reminder about the last Sunday of the month is that all the food goes into a Healthy Snack Sale to support Youth and Family. Therefore, the donated snacks that come in on this Sunday will be sold for a nominal cost to the community. We include the donated snacks along with the more substantial food that the youth teachers provide. We appreciate the snacks from the community so much because they supplement the meal-like food coming from our teachers, who already give so much. So, thank you!
“DEEPAK CHOPRA – October 4” This is our opportunity, along with Unity of Marin, to be in the forefront of everyone’s mind in Marin for bringing this amazing spiritual being to the Bay Area. Chopra’s philosophy and teachings harmonize perfectly with our teachings. The people who would come to an evening with Deepak Chopra would love our community. Please accept your role as an integral part of our marketing team and do all of the following to make this evening a great success:
· Order your ticket(s)
· Buy tickets for friends
· Purchase an ad that will appear in the Event program
· Distribute flyers
· Volunteer for the event
Fall Classes are coming up and are now open for enrollment. I will offer a wonderful beginning class called Beyond Limits! This class is very exciting because it has a whole media program along with it. It covers the material of the regular Foundational Class, but it is just 10 weeks. As a one-time introductory offer, we are pricing it at $195 instead of $260.
Gail Durkin, RScP is offering a new class called, The Essential Ernest Holmes. She will use texts that are more accessible and less well known than the big Science of Mind textbook. Both these classes are required classes if you are even contemplating becoming a Practitioner. Since they are both new classes, they would be exciting and fresh for all people to take. Do not let finances be an issue; come and talk to us if money is keeping you from enrolling.
We are finishing up our 40 Day Unexpected Income Program. Many people who have signed up to be a part of this empowering program, bringing more good into their lives, prefer to give one check at the conclusion of the program as their tithe on their unexpected good for the 40 days. If this is you, please make your check payable to GGCSL and mark in the memo that it is for the Unexpected Income Program. We want to be able to tabulate how much good came into our folks’ lives by means of the consciousness and commitment that have a part of this program.
Come and try the empowering spiritual practice of visioning. Janet Carol Ryan, RScP, an experienced guide in facilitating this easy practice, will offer Visioning for Your Life at the Learning Center on Wednesday September 1 at 7pm. A love offering will be appreciated...give yourself this gift.
Check out our website for complete details of all our wonderful upcoming events and classes at www.GGCSL.org (https://www.GGCSL.org).
Summer Blessings,
Rev. Karyl
