Hello Kay;
I noticed your add and wanted to respond. I am relatively new to this area and am open to making new friends. I am interested to know how I can support you in what you are looking for. Please let me know what I can do to help...

Reading what you posted, Kay, I feel puzzled and curious - a bit intrigued. What I'm most curious about is: what does she mean by "emotionally available" and why (for what purpose) is she seeking such people? (please correct me if I have your gender wrong.)

I'm interested because I would think of "emotional availability" as being able to express myself - and hear others - from the level of real feelings and needs, especially emotional needs. And this, I believe, is crucial to building relationships and groups (communities) of mutual support and caring, the kind that empower us and move us toward inner wholeness.

There are other levels on which we can meet: mind, body as well as heart (or soul?). In my experience, rarely does meeting on the mental level bring us together, and the body level can be little more than a temporary distraction. If we want a togetherness that opens us to new possibilities, the heart level is where we can find common ground - where we can truly connect and resonate with each other.

So I'll ask the question I've appreciated a lot: What do you really want?

with gratitude,
Clint

I think it was Maya Angelou who created the phrase:

"When I passed forty, I dropped pretense 'cause men like women who got some sense."

So perhaps this is one of those occasions......Just a thought.

well
there you have it!
well stated Clint........I think anybody is emotionally available when they feel truly "Safe"
there is a group one can tune into called "Co-Counciling" or Re-Evaluation Counciling that is wonderfully structured toward making
emotional connection the basis of relationship(they even try to KEEP it purly a context for emotional clearing process,by dis-allowing co-incidental relations to grow from it.
This goes directly against the grain of human nature,other-wize RC would have taken over the world by now,its FUN when you get into it. there is also one called
Naka Ima? way expensive. and Taka tina fascinating!! Blessings Nico

Interesting thought,Firegoddess, is there a feeling behind that? nice thread....Nico
