Please forward to all list serves!!!
Dear Community,
There is an exciting and dynamic awakening happening in America! The Latino people refuse to hide any longer and are coming out in huge numbers to express their right to human dignity.
There is no such thing as an illegal alien. The labor force is truly the backbone of our country.
The problem is not people crossing borders and risking their lives just to survive and to help their families survive.
The problem is Corporations crossing borders and exploiting the labor and environment for profit.
The Corporations such as Exxon and Monsanto even use the people's own governments and military to control and oppress the laborers.
The exploitation of Latinos here in Sonoma County equals the huge profits of the wine and tourist industry.
The real grape growers are the farm workers and they can't even obtain a driver's license to go to work and take care of their families.
I have marched for legalization of driver's licenses and I have marched in the last two huge marches that have taken place in Santa Rosa.
Two weeks ago there were 3,700 people in the streets chanting-
Si Se Puede!!
Yes! We can!
The day before that a million people marched in LA. It is happening all over the country. From Tucson to Texas!
Last night there were 3,000 people on Sebastopol Rd in Roseland.

There were about 5 white people.

Sonoma County prides itself on its progressive politics-the next time the call goes out, and it has been in the Press Democrat both times, I hope to see whites come out in equal numbers to support our brothers and sisters!
If you are against the War on Iraq you should be against the war on our own labor force that does the hardest jobs for the lowest pay and are still treated like criminals.
Please contact Roberto Garcia [email protected] if you want to be on the e-mail list for alerts.
In between, talk about these issues and when you hear derisive language towards Latinos speak up. If you are not Native American you are the descendent of immigrants that did exactly what these folks are doing now!
The hardest work is always in our own back yard.
Hope to see you at the next demonstration! There is a great spirit in the air! Si! Se Puede!
Yours in Truth! Magick
