(The Clinton Party (“New Dems”) taking money from the school systems and sending it to the partying war contractors of Afghanistan and the new slave owners setting up shop in Haiti (with Slick Willy))…

After a take-it-or-leave-it vote by the Senate, House Democrats face little choice but to drop billions in aid for schools, college students and others that they had hoped could ride on legislation paying for President Barack Obama’s troop surge in Afghanistan.

The Senate rejected the House measure, passed earlier this month, by a 46-51 vote that fell short of a majority, much less the 60 votes required to defeat a filibuster.

Instead, the Senate on Thursday stripped out the $20 billion in House add-ons and returned to the House an almost $60 billion measure passed by a bipartisan vote in May. The Senate measure is limited chiefly to war funding, foreign aid, medical care for Vietnam War veterans exposed to Agent Orange, and replenishing almost empty disaster aid accounts.
It would bring the amount of money appropriated for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan above $1 trillion.

Eleven Senate Democrats and Independent Joe Lieberman of Connecticut voted against the House version of the bill. Not a single Republican supported it.

The moves repel a long-shot bid by House Democrats earlier this month to resurrect their faltering jobs agenda with $10 billion in grants to school districts to avoid teacher layoffs, $5 billion for Pell Grants to low-income college students, $1 billion for a summer jobs program and $700 million to improve security along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The Senate measure is likely to be grudgingly accepted by House Democrats next week despite opposition from liberals who oppose the war in Afghanistan, which many of them view as unwinnable.
A spokesman for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., wouldn’t comment on whether the House will simply approve the Senate measure and send it on to Obama for his signature.

I can think of a lot of other funding targets that could have been sacrificed. Fannie Mae, for starters. But, Leftists will yank funding from police, education and other vital functions before they'll stop shoveling our money into the pockets of their crooked buddies.

They had a choice and now we see where their true loyalties lie.

The "roaring 20s" were a result of cutting government spending by half and drastically reducing taxation of businesses (aka "the rich" in leftist lingo). There is a clearly laid path to national prosperity. They have that choice at their disposal too.

there are choices. and the democrats and republicans have made theirs. and the choices they have made are crushing what is left of our freedom and sovereignty in no uncertain terms. these choices are not being made out of ignorance. they are with purpose. and the purpose is criminal.

school funding could be accomplished by the immediate closing down of one or two military bases we have in.....pick a country.....

we would also have plenty of funding available by the shutting down or appropriate replacement of public entities that are inefficient (especially inefficient by design) or irreparably corrupt.

i think the american public would be astounded by the amount in dollars of waste and personal gain by a few that defines nearly countless govt funded programs. we live in an incomprehensibly gigantic government arena of criminal enterprises. and we are paying these criminals to steal from us and take away our freedoms to fund the latest coup and the murder of people just like us in other parts of our world. they do not even have the good taste to hide the billions and billions of dollars given to the israeli war machine while citizens here are in such dire straits we are close to panic.

there is plenty of money taken in. there is plenty of funding to meet the needs of all american citizens with enough left over for states' surplus. we should not be spending outside of our states or the country until all the citizens here are experiencing at least the basic life needs, including free higher education.

there is not a shortage of money. there never has been. our money has been lining the pockets of the super-rich and their criminal accomplices, most often through govt programs, for so long that we have stopped seeing it. we have stopped thinking about it.

we are told we are broke. we are broke only because we have been robbed.

and we are still financing the crime.

stop.

AMEN, BRUTHA!!

This is one thing I appreciate about Glenn Beck. He is detailing, for his attentive audience, many of the shenanigans going on with our money. He is exposing the massive robbery of this nation and showing where much of the money is being shoveled - mainly to prop up and fill the pockets of a relatively small coterie of crooks. I haven't seen his show in a few weeks, wonder what he's going on about now.

Democrats and Republicans are both doing it. Democrats got elected on the promise to put an end to it and to restore "transparency" to government, yet they are multiplying and magnifying the problems they complained about. Holy smokes, they are confident their minions are "useful idiots" enough to keep voting for them!

For my part, I hope the TEA Party produces more viable candidates who will do as you say - cut the cr*p out of government meddling with our money and get back to solid financial basics. I've attended a few of their gatherings and meetings and they seem to be about the only hope we have left to restore fiscal sanity to our nation.

The two major political parties... not so much.

As for closing military bases abroad - I would rather do that as a last resort, instead focusing on the unconstitutional waste here as well as the shoveling of our money to outside parties. Stuff like this:

Obama: Boys from Brazil better than U.S.
President blocks drilling at home, funds exploration abroad (PetroBras), enriching Soros investment
