The main premise given in the beginning of that video is something that I have known for a long time and so have the vast majority of Green party members.

BTW, I am [I]not a Green party member. I am registered as declines to state, which is essentially; independent voter in California.

I don't know about any Green party members but, I personally do not hate any of the candidates.
I never did and still don't even hate George Bush or Dick Cheney even though I strongly believe that they lied and misrepresented to get us into war.
Hate is a destructive thing, particularly to the person who harbors it, and of course, society.
But I thoroughly detest allot of the things both of the “main” parties have done (or not done) and many of the policies they espouse to.

I don't know about you or anybody else, but it has been a fact for a long time that in order for a presidential candidate to get in the presidential debates, that are broadcast nationwide on the mass media; (that) all candidates are required to have at least 5% of the total votes cast in the whole country before they could get in the debates the following election cycle.

someguy, Didn't you already know that?

I did not watch the whole video because videos suck up too many bits for the shared satellite system that I'm using. so there may be other issues in that video mentioned that I could otherwise be commenting on, but it is what it is.

I'm guessing that you're one of the privileged people that have access to DSL?

Some of us don't have access to a system like that.
It costs big bucks to get even so much as 450 MB per 24-hours on a satellite system.
Some of us in rural areas are stuck with decrepit, slooooow, archaic telephone systems using modems that may only run at 24 KPS at best; that really sucks!

For those of us who are not so privileged to have access to DSL, or anything better, MP3 audio or just something that we could read is much more accessible as far as KPS speed or MB allocation per day are concerned.
For example, I only have my half of the 425 megabytes per 24 hour period, which is down to 155 MB right now. And it's not even ten o'clock in the morning as I am writing this.

The main reason I'm telling you this is for you to be informed, that is why I do not watch very many video links; because I have to wait until; between 11 PM and 4 AM, where they don't count the downloads with this particular satellite system.
Then, not all of those videos are down-loadable to the computer's memory.
So in order to respond to them, they have to be fresh enough in my memory.
You'll notice that allot of my posts happen after 11 PM but by then I'm pretty tired, so it's very difficult for me to stay up in order to respond to stuff while still fresh in my memory when I'm so tired at that time of day.

BTW, someguy, why do you think people from the Green party in particular “hate” Ron Paul?
Has anybody from the Green party that you know of, actually stated that they “hate” Ron Paul?
Or are you just assuming that because they have strong political disagreements and they vehemently disagree about certain political points of view he espouses that they (the greens) actually harbor “hate” towards him personally?

I think you're just stating that rhetorically, and you don't mean that literally on a personal level; that (those) people from the Green party actually “hate” Ron Paul Personally.

Many people on all sides of the spectrum misinterpret anger for hatred.
[I]Generally speaking, anger which is nonviolent and rational is a healthy response to cruelty and injustice, hatred and violence towards other people is unhealthy and detrimental.

Excellent post as usual Hotspring44,
Sorry to read about your bandwidth limits. I pay Sonic.net $30 a month for DSL, and maintain my AT&T landline as it is my only phone and I couldn't get the DSL without it. Figure another $23 a month for AT&T, plus $6-$15 for Credo. (I don't like calling long distance, email me. Yeah, Barry, I know... Scype!!) That's $63 approximately, per month! If you throw in $100 for Comcast, and $23 for Netflix... $186 total...
The telecommunications corporate monopoly is screwing us all!!
And that's just the monetary cost of staying wired, connected and entertained. The externalities of: cultural shift from loss of face to face community and sociability, psychological effects from attention deficit due to "the clicker" along with personal isolation and social distancing, the physical effects of a sedentary lifestyle... Need I go on?
When organizing a few years ago, a lot of folks complained about email lists and discussions, since they didn't have 'puters. They were mostly from the older and poorer crowd.
Any experienced activist knows such folks can be the mainstay of small grass roots movements. They have high levels of passion, and more time on their hands. They're your volunteer base, along with impassioned young people of course.
It was a complaint I tried not to ignore, but the convenience of email, and the tediousness of phone calling (I know, phone trees!) are major obstacles to keeping some people in the loop.
As for Green Party members (Presente!) "hating" Ron Paul.
I don't hate Dr. Paul, I just consider his contributions mostly irrelevant to a rational, realistic discussion of our nation and world's ills, and what might be done to alleviate them.
So I pretty much ignore him. Hard to do when "some guy"s ; - ) insist on pushing Congressman Paul's latest pronouncement in my face. Over, and over, and over, again.
It's a "free country", so to speak. So, whatever...
There's definitely "hate" for Ralph Nader percolating away. A subject that was well and ably discussed here, from many different perspectives, back in 2004.
Interested? It's in the archive!
I'm already on record here as to why internet video isn't going to get my attention, compared to the printed word online.
But as Barry and I established yesterday in private emails about moderating here, I'm a Neo-Luddite (my term). No cell, no scype, no web camera, no microphone on my box. Dinosaur!
Destined soon for the trashheap of history. But so are we all!
Make hay while the sun shines, for night is near...

I've never heard any third party supporter say that they hate either Ron Paul or Ralph Nader. If you're awake to the fact that the system needs dramatic change- what is there to hate about either of those guys?
