Does anyone have suggestions about river beaches that are good for swimming?

Sunset beach on River Rd. just before the road turns towards Korbel Winery.
Its 5 per car, or maybe 6 and a bit of a walk to the beach but its really nice. Magick

what's the good behavior on the River with dogs?

i want to take my six year old Lab whose only experience with large bodies of water is our seasonal pond...

want to go weekdays, minimal crowds, etc.
