Intact America's ad reminding the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) that they swore an oath to protect all children - girls AND boys - from genital cutting, ran in today's Washington Post.
We could not have done this without you and the other intactivists who
helped us raise the funds needed to make our message heard on a national scale.

As a result of the public outcry -- and our advocacy efforts! -- the AAP has
retracted its dangerous policy statement on female genital cutting.
Thankfully, America's girls remain safely protected by a federal law that
prohibits female genital cutting of any kind.
Unfortunately, our baby boys have no such protection. In fact, the AAP and
CDC may be poised to actually recommend routine circumcision for all baby boys...
We've proved that we have the power to influence decisions. The AAP heard us
loud and clear and retracted its dangerously misguided policy statement on
female genital cutting. Now we must do the same for our nation's baby boys.
Send a message to the AAP's Task Force on Circumcision today, and remind
the members that any form of genital cutting, whether male or female, is
unnecessary, harmful, unjustifiable, and ethically wrong.

As the AAP prepares to publish its policy recommendation on circumcision,
it is critical that they hear from all people who oppose routine infant
circumcision – doctors and advocates alike.
The AAP is supposedly dedicated to the health of all children -– why is it
even considering recommending a procedure that is harmful and unnecessary?
We must speak up! Ask the AAP to stay true to its oath to protect all
children from harm as it considers whether or not to recommend routine
infant male circumcision.
