[This was split off from the thread: https://www.waccobb.net/forums/waccotalk/53440-waccobb-net-community-values.html -Barry]

Location: The street in downtown Sebastopol, Petaluma Blvd. and the crossing at the Joe Rodota Trail, behind Frizelle & Enos / near Hop Monk.

The person(s): the bike rider or walker who will push the button to stop oncoming autos so they may proceed across.

The Issue: is that person "conscious"?

An Issue: that person(s) is stopping pollution spewing cars for a few more seconds in an area that desires to be green, creating the worst of mechanical malfeasance (idling) while the proceed.
Same question, same town, different location: between the Town Square and Whole Foods parking. Or crossing Main from Post Office.

Given: unending stream of cars (at times), children crossing, infirm and/or elderly, all a joy to watch and cannot discount those folks or times.
Just wondering....are they 'conscious'?
