There are more than 4,000 of these fake clinics – and it makes my blood boil when I think about how they operate.
Many CPCs are spending thousands of dollars advertising online under “abortion services” and “abortion clinics.” But CPCs do NOT provide abortion care. Instead, they deceive women by:
Providing medically inaccurate information.
Portraying themselves as health clinics, but most have no trained medical staff, no prenatal care, and no requirements to follow privacy laws.
Scaring women with lies that abortion can lead to breast cancer, infertility, and mental disorders.

Recruit more pro-choice volunteers who can help expose CPCs in their communities.
Help ensure access to reproductive-health centers for all women.
Four thousand CPCs may not sound like a lot. But remember, 87 percent of U.S. counties have no abortion provider. Fake clinics actually outnumber legitimate health-care clinics that provide abortion care by more than four to one. So you can take pride that major anti-choice organizations like Care Net are attacking NARAL Pro-Choice America for how effective we've been in the battle to bring the CPC movement to an end.
