Dear Supporter,<?xml:namespace prefix = o /><o:p></o:p>

Sonoma County Food Not Bombs has been serving our local community since 2000. Food Not Bombs is an autonomous group of individuals dedicated to positive social change. We continue to gather, prepare and serve hot, free, vegetarian food to all comers every Sunday at 5PM in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 /><st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Santa Rosa</st1:place></st1:city>’s <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Courthouse Square</st1:address></st1:street>. Our meals are prepared entirely by volunteers with food that would otherwise go to waste and from donations from individuals like you. Food Not Bombs calls attention to the inherent contradictions in society's failure to provide food and housing for each of its members, while at the same time handing out hundreds of billions of dollars in funding for militarization and war. We take part in this form of protest as a way to feed people, demonstrate the effectiveness of direct action, and to point out the inhumanity and inequity of social spending, poverty and the massively concentrated accumulation of wealth.<o:p></o:p>

We are asking for your help to be able to continue providing this service to the local community. Your donation of food, prep equipment, serving containers and utensils, or cash for fuel and vehicle expenses will help us to continue providing this service into our sixth year and beyond. We are also eager to assist new volunteers in becoming advocates for social change in our local community. Having more volunteers and donations will also allow us to increase our number of servings and to provide more “no questions asked” nourishment to more people. We are greatly encouraged by people in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Petaluma</st1:place></st1:city> who have recently started a second serving every Sunday 10:30 am at the corner of <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Howard St.</st1:address></st1:street> and <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Washington Blvd.</st1:address></st1:street> We believe that this kind of action can only be supported and sustained by contributions by concerned people like you.<o:p></o:p>

If you can help us out in any way, please contact us at the above phone numbers, e-mail us or send donations. You can also visit our website for more information and the history of Food Not Bombs and how it continues today. www.scfoodnotbombs.org (https://www.scfoodnotbombs.org)
