PG&E Shareholders Against PG&E

PG&E Shareholders Against PG&E (or, P-SAP) is a group of concerned shareholders who have organized to take a stand against Prop 16: we consider PG&E's creation and financial backing of this ballot initiative demonstrative of some of the most shocking corporate practices in US history.

In our opinion, by foisting Prop 16 upon California, PG&E is actively destroying any decent reputation it had. The company and its Board of Directors has fostered a sentiment of distrust by aligning with Wall Street greed. A new model of cooperation is needed to solve our energy problems and to address the growing risks from climate change. Sadly, PG&E has made it clear it will not cooperate.

Originally, PG&E Corporation planned to spend the enormous amount of $35 million dollars of shareholder profits to pay for Prop 16. That expenditure now stands at $44.2 million dollars and counting. As shareholders, we say enough is enough.

While the decision-making process that led PG&E to bankroll Prop 16 may appear inscrutable, we must remember that those on the Board of Directors operating behind the veil of "corporate personhood" can only remain anonymous as long as we do not name them.

Here then, are the names of PG&E Corporation's Board of Directors: David R. Andrews; Lewis Chew; C. Lee Cox; Peter A. Darbee; Maryellen C. Herringer; Roger H. Kimmel; Richard A. Meserve; Forrest E. Miller; Rosendo (Ro) G. Parra; Barbara L. Rambo; Barry Lawson Williams.

Please join us in this historic fight to stop PG&E's power grab, and make the PG&E Board aware of your outrage at their bankrolling of Prop 16. We urge California voters, utility rate payers, and other PG&E shareholders to make your voices heard in all methods available: below are some ways to deliver your message to PG&E.
