Hi Barry,
Please take these comments in the spirit in which they were given. I suggest that the banners, while very attractive aren't really doing it for me. I usually just scroll through them to get to the good stuff. What I find most attractive on a website is when I see a link for something that I need and want. I will click like crazy if I'm going to get a coupon for a free cupcake where I buy my bread. All you would need to do is say: Hearthstone Bakery, $5.99/dozen for Everything Bagels, and a Free Cupcake too! You make a deal with Hearthstone (fictional name) that you get a percentage of every sale that results from a click through your website. So, if you got twenty percent of that sale, it would mean $1.20 every time somebody buys a dozen Everything bagels from Hearthstone. You make out, Hearthstone makes out (and probably wins a few new customers too). Also, why not do like Pandora does and make me put my money where my mouth is? If you listen to Pandora too much (which I do all the time), they charge you ninety nine cents. If somebody posts too much to Wacco, say five posts in a week, you start charging them, I vote for a trivial amount at first like $1.50 a month. That way you get the freeloaders (like me) to pay. It's a nuisance for us, but if you're like me and you can't keep your mouth shut, you'll click through to PayPal every time. That's the only way you'll get a dime out of people like us.
I'm probably making a few people (who are like me) mad. But, if it means more website traffic, and expansion of your network, isn't it worth it? Sorry to be so forward.
