a university researcher in Virginia (Medical College of Virginia) found similar results with marijuana in the 1970's.
the study was expunged from American med school textbooks but can still be found in Canada.
a similar study was done in Spain more recently, that is known as "the Madrid Study".

what they observed was that, in cases of rats injected with known carcinogens, cannabis tended to create a wall of scar tissue around the poison. the rats that received cannabis had a much lower mortality rate.
literally, a cure for cancer - not a complete cure, not a silver bullet. but a partial cure.
