"Mad" Miles

Due to the upcropping of the Israel/Palestine debate on another thread, I was reminded of this article (https://dissidentvoice.org/2010/05/i-was-wrong-about-israel/)that I read a couple of days ago.
As long as the discussion about land rights in Palestine/Israel is at the level of, "you killed (name the victim) you're a terrorist nazi/zionist, etc." the quagmire will continue.
I finally saw "Paradise Now" (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0445620/) a few nights ago on the Sundance Channel. Pretty good elucidation from the point of view of Palestinians, including suicide bombers, and their cousins vehemently opposed to the same. Worth a view.
This conundrum has been fairly extensively discussed on previous threads over the years of waccobb. Just do a search.
There are few world problems that generate hotter debate/diatribe. I'm not interested in contributing to it, at the moment, beyond this point.
Except to say, no, I've never lived in Israel, nor been a victim of a terrorist bombing attack (from any side) (unless as an American, U.S., I'm a victim of 9/11, Khobar Towers, The Cole, Beirut Marine Barracks, etc. And as a world citizen I feel for those who suffer, on all sides) but I've had good friends from the relative extremes of both sides of this particular conflict. Suffice it to say they never met and discussed any peaceful resolution. More's the pity.
I watched "Amish Grace" (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1559025/) last night. Had me weeping. I'm no longer an avowed Christian (as I was growing up, with particular fervor in High School until the end of my first year of college) so I'm not sure if I can endorse their answer to terroristic violence. But it may be a start.
