Dear community,
I am seeking a family with whom to share my pets.
I am currently companion to two wonderful hounds. raja, a 7 yr old brindle basset mutt and ruby, a year old labpitmutt, also brindle. they both are responsive and snuggly and enjoy a good romp in the woods, and I love them both very much. However, I am finding that this pet commitment is more than I can easefully handle while keeping the rest of my life in balance. Plenty of folks I know who are divorced or separated from the partner with whom they adopted a pet are now enjoying partial custody of their beloved pet.
I seek a similar arrangement, without the divorce!
I would love to find a great family with high regard for our pets' quality of life to take either or both of our pets for the summer, while we are traveling out of the country and maybe create a situation where it works beneficially for all parties to have dogs when you want them and not when you'd rather not. it works great for us to have dogs in the winter, but the summer is not as ideal. maybe in your house the children have more time to be with a pet in the summer, but are too busy during the school year? I'm open to options. thanks for reading this.
