greetings community!
i am calling out for donations of waldorfesque supplies to bring with me to a little waldorf school in guatemala called escuelacaracol(.com).
they are a new little school with a big dream, to keep half enrollment of indigenous kids and half international. they are able to achieve this only through the help of folks like us. their day is taught mostly inside and intermittenly in english, spanish and maya kaqchikel, and they are truly contributing to a little mayan lakeside village, by educating, creating community among the families and sending local teachers for waldorf training.
please help me help them out.
please send any (new or used) materials you would like me to bring to:
5755 wildwood mtn rd, santa rosa, ca 95409 before the end of may.
on their website there is a list of their most needed items. some of them are:
stockmar crayons and paints, colored tissue paper, main lesson books, yarn, wool, thread, needles, felt, lyra colored pencils, play silks, children's scissors, gardening tools, seeds,prisms, bird feeder, wooden beads, marbles, jump ropes, balls, small pump for balls, tempra paint and drawing paper.
resources are scarce in guatemala, thanks so much for sharing your abundance!
