I took some time off from everything getting in touch with who I truly am. it had it's ups and it's downs, but as Nietzsche said, "That which does not kill us, only makes us stronger.
There were parts of me that I thought were dead last year. I poured myself into work, into new hobbies and tried new things. I realized I loved the way I was and I did not need to change who I was. I see everyday people go over board with compromise.
Rather than meet in the middle, it consumes us to be less integral to what our core being is, and to attempt to integrate with a partner. Walking on eggshells is unhealthy. Not being able to or allowed to do the things you desire is unhealthy .
It is inhuman not to make a few compromises here and there to let someone into your world and share it with them. It is entirely different to let someones strengths or weaknesses change the road your on. it is time to get back on track and stay the course. Not to allow minor mishaps become major obstacles in my life.
