I didn't see it mentioned that 23% of Americans think Elvis is still alive!
Or that 15% think we evolved out of excrement left by space aliens.
I recall a book from 1904, published around the time of the height of the Yellow Peril, that the Japanese were from Mars. REALLY!
Not only NOT human, not even terrestrial!
