The dogs are 6.75 years old now. They are spayed and neutered and have had all their shots. I see no sign of fleas on them but they do have thick fur. They are brother and sister and have never been separated in their lives. The black one is the male. His name is Lord Invader (my favorite Calypso singer) and her name is Mattie. They weigh about 70 pounds each. I know nothing about their ancestry, except people like to guess. They have never had any serious illness and do not suffer from arthritis.

What I like about them especially is that they are so doggy. They have doggy snouts, not pushed in faces. They have thick fur, long tails, ears that cock up, they smell wonderful (for animal lovers), they are eager and lively and love attention. They jump around and love to go walking. They are very clean. When I used to give them baths, the water would just not get dirty.Nature has been developing the cleverness of fur for millions of years.

They are non-aggressive to humans and dogs. They are used to living outdoors, even in the winter.

Possible negatives (or positives): they have been encouraged to bark whenever a car comes down the driveway to warn me that someone is coming. Invader loves to jump up and Mattie wants to lick your face (and glasses). They will bark feverishly at a new dog (but then lose interest and start wandering). Mattie is a coward who will roll over if challenged but Invader will protect her from any attack by another dog. They tend to run off when outdoors but neither one will stray far from the other so I keep one on a leash at a time.

I would volunteer to pay fifty dollars a month for three years to pay for costs to anyone who will give them a good home. They require some outdoor space.

I will work with anyone living anywhere but the best would be in Solano County, around Vacaville. Sonoma county also works.
