:heart:Volunteer Opportunities:heart:
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Face to Face! There are many ways to help directly and indirectly the HIV+ community of Sonoma County through Face to Face. Read below and see if any of these ways sound like a means in which you'd like to help.
Practical Support
Many clients need a little help with chores around the house. Share your homemaking skills and make someone’s day! If you enjoy performing tasks such as light housekeeping, providing respite care, or tending gardens, consider Practical Support. It’s a great way to meet people and offer direct assistance!
Transportation
Transportation volunteers drive clients to and from medical appointments, and are an essential part of a person’s care team. It is impossible to overestimate the value of a friendly, supportive ride to and from appointments.
Outreach and Prevention Education
Are you outgoing and like to talk to new people? Consider being a prevention volunteer. These volunteers go directly into the field to talk to individuals one on one about safer sex practices and distribute educational literature. Prevent HIV/AIDS before it can be transmitted!
Sacks on the Square
Do you love retail sales? Enjoy sorting through recycled treasures? Have a talent for display? Join the fun-loving, dedicated team of volunteers who help run our snazzy thrift store in Railroad Square. There are a variety of jobs available, including counter help, display, cashiers, and sales.
Office Help
If clerical work is your thing, volunteer opportunities are available at our Santa Rosa office. Tasks include organizing, receptionist duties, making phone calls, filing or assisting with special mailings and projects.
For more information on volunteering with Face to Face, please call Carrie Peterson at 707-544-1581 ext. 115 or send an e-mail. All volunteers are required to complete and return the Volunteer Application. For more info go to:
Face to Face-Sonoma County AIDS Network (https://www.f2f.org)
Special Event Volunteers
Face to Face raises nearly 45% of its operating budget through in-house fundraising. Special Event Volunteers help put on popular events such as the Art for Life Auction, Human Race, San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus performances, and other fabulous events. This is a great way to hobnob with other volunteers and have lots of fun.
Thank you for your interest!
