Any snow left in Tahoe in early April?

Hi, I'm looking to take my 8-year-old daughter to Truckee or elsewhere around Tahoe to play in snow for the first time ... alas, her Spring Break doesn't start till the first week of April! Is it still worth taking her? We're not really skiing/winter sports types of people & more have sledding & making snow angels in mind. Any recommendations in terms of places to go & stay? Thank you!

There usually is some snow in the Sierras in early April. This year we have gotten a good snow pack which should last well into late April unless we have a week or two of warm weather.

The Sierra Club has the wonderful family oriented Claire Tappan Lodge at Donner Summit. It is very inexpensive and is close to a number of good winter play areas.
