I have a sweet little chicken who appears to have lost most of it's vision-- perhaps it has cataracts or something like that. It appears to be able to see a little, but not much. As a result, it spends the entire day sitting in the chicken coop (which is a small, old tool shed) while the other chickens are out roaming.
I'm beginning to feel guilty, but I don't know what to do. I'm gone during the day, even most weekends, so I can't really spend any time with it.
Does anyone have a situation where they could give a bit of special care to a sweet, blind chicken? Perhaps a nice sunny spot with adequate protection from raccoons and other predators?
Thanks.
Phil
