Waccos,
How do you know the "truth"?
The loss of reliable sources, the ability to trust the media, etc. has been the biggest threat to our well being for a long time.
How can we change this?
Are you OK with your tax (debt) dollars funding nuclear power in a fault zone? Do you think the waste will remain safe from disaster or theft?
Do you know how many games are being played with energy & water in California, by whom, and why?
Have you noticed how being "green" has been co-opted? Signing on to a false shade of green can be more dangerous than clear choices of what harms more, what harms less, and what is truly harmless.
Who are the "real" bad guys in our "wars"? Are you OK with paying for a policy of shooting first, no matter how many innocent people get hurt in the process?
Nothing will change if we don't unite our goals and efforts.
I have some plans, and I need your help.
Please contact me, let's map resources and solutions.
Time is not on our side. Those who do not care for the well being of others, and our environment, have many advantages: money, power, control of those in power.
We have strength in our numbers, but only when we act on our common agenda.
Can we find a way to move beyond our small differences, and use the strength found in our unity to save our state, country, and species?
The future is counting on you not to sit this one out.
In peace,

From the Wall Street Journal:

At a briefing with field commanders Monday, top allied commander U.S.
Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal stressed the importance of getting the
word out that a rocket that killed 12 civilians on Sunday hadn't
missed its target, as previously reported, but hit a house from which
coalition soldiers were taking fire. Unknown to the men who called the
strike, there were civilians inside, officials said
"We know the truth in this room right now and we need to make sure it
gets out," he said.

From the LAT:

The danger to civilians in the Helmand combat zone was underscored
Sunday when NATO announced the deaths of 12 people in what it
characterized as an errant rocket strike that hit a residential
compound. Afghan officials said Monday that they were saddened by the
incident but that it should not deter the mission's larger aim of
freeing the area from Taliban rule.
Interior Minister Mohammed Hanif Atmar told reporters a preliminary
inquiry suggested that as many as three of those killed might have
been insurgents who forced the family to let them into the compound.
The NATO force reiterated, however, that the compound was not the
intended target. NATO's International Security Assistance Force said
*Monday* [my emphasis] that the rockets had missed their mark by about
600 yards, rather than the 300 yards reported a day earlier.

and Laura King, Los Angeles Times, February 16, 2010
Maybe McChrystal should have invited a NATO rep to his briefing?
