Hi folks,
I am forwarding this letter from the Adult Literacy League of Sonoma County, a wonderful organization which helps individuals learn English, to help them raise their standard of living and improve opportunities for their children. I am a former volunteer. I hope together we can find a way to help this warm-hearted organization continue its work.

<o:p></o:p>Our mission statement, “Opening doors—teaching English as a second language,” says it all for us! <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> The Adult Literacy League of Sonoma County is a non-profit, all volunteer community organization teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) in Sonoma County. We have been providing English tutoring in Sonoma County since 1969. All our services are free to our students—we never charge them a fee. And, all of our more than 150 tutors and teachers are volunteers.
<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> The League has a new challenge. We received word from Goodwill Industries that they need the office space we are currently occupying and we have until March 31st to move. First and foremost, we are grateful to Goodwill for the last four years of rent-free office space. They have been very generous. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Since this is sudden and unexpected, and March 31st is only two and a half months away, we are sending this letter to our members and the community in the hopes that someone knows of office space that would be available to the League.
At a minimum we need two rooms: An office for our executive director and a larger office for our administrative coordinator and library. We are hoping for rent-free office space since we do not have a budget for rent. If renting is our only option, it needs to be minimal.
