Greetings,
I have been following issues related to water/wastewater/watershed protection for 7 years. I have tried to work with all interests to support a well balanced approach for use of our precious, and limited water supply.
The Sonoma County Water Agency has not always operated in a well balanced manner; though I have seen evidence of their ability to adapt to changing circumstances. This can give us hope in the quest to live within our means, and limit the risks to the quality/quantity aspects of our water supply.
For the position of General Manager, I support the current Assistant General Manager, Grant Davis. Grant came to SCWA from the Bay Institute; he understands the challenges to our watersheds. He has been open to communication, and supporting a better balance for all users.
I do NOT have any confidence in Paul Kelly's ability to serve the balanced best interest of anything.
Chief Engineer - I'm comfortable with any of these choices:
Cordell Stillman - works for SCWA, members of the SC Water Coalition rank him high on the list.
Tam Dudoc (sp?) - was or is working with the State; Water Board I think; she does listen.
Pam Jeane - Current SCWA Deputy Chief Engineer; many of the water Contractors like her, she tries to do her best with the many challenges from the old guard/new paradigm at work now.
I apologize for the very last minute nature of this request, still I suggest you contact all the Supervisors ASAP and help inform their choice of these most important positions.
Much thanks,
Colleen Fernald
