Does anyone have suggestions of ways to avoid homelessness? Know of a place where one can exchange some kind of service for a room -- perhaps as live-in house help, worker in spiritual community, lightweight farm hand? After hundreds of job applications and two years of job searching, I am still unemployed. Have great work history and references. Trying to get creative about ways to survive until I can find work. Any suggestions welcome. Would love to stay in Sonoma County but willing to move for shelter.

Re-Frame to be HOME FREE as I am...Expense free..
expand community,friends ,services,recievings.....

Become a "woofer" on a local farm(willing workers on organic farms)there is rarely pay,
but always good food and a couch to surf,or even a rent free cabin can happen
there are lists of these on line, and even in winter ,there is plenty of work to do.
tell us more about what you love to do!
