Hi All,
We're considering hosting a luncheon at Latitude, for the atmosphere, deck, dining on the water etc. since their food is not very good. Therefore, my question is:

should we do a banquet menu or let folks order individually off their menu?

I appreciate any suggestions and personal experience with this restaurant.
Many thanks,
Suzanne

"their food is not very good."

Ok,, your words and I agree 100%. Well, there are many other venues with nice atmosphere and food that is not well, less than what most folks want to eat. (trying to be polite)
There is a new place opening on Thursday in Sebastopol: Restaurant P/30 - Sebastopol, CA (https://www.yelp.com/biz/restaurant-p-30-sebastopol)

I have been following them on Facebook,, and some of my Uber Foodie(well respected) friends highly recomend the Chef-Patrick Tafoya (https://www.biteclubeats.com/2009/09/patrick-tafoya-taking-over-saint-rose-spot.html)and frankly I can hardly wait to try it. This is a very cute place. It has been many creations and each time quite welcoming. I am certain they would go above and beyond to make your lunchon wonderful.
There are many other fine places around... I am sure other Waccobians will chime in and help with recomendations. Personally, I would not go to a restraunt just because it has pretty views/atmosphere. My :2cents:...
Good Luck and enjoy,
Ann

First off, the view is of an artificial lake and you can see the freeway, and hear it in the distance. But there are ducks!

The only time I ate there, which was about ten months ago, I ordered some "Polynesian" pork which was dry, mealy and bland. With enough seasoning I was able to make it edible. The portion was generous so I was able to make a couple of more meals out of the leftovers.

After that I read something about the food improving.

I did once have a great time there a couple of years ago. KRSH brought Bret Dennen (sp?) for free on a Friday afternoon.

I didn't eat, the beers were good but pricy. I had a very nice time. Mostly due to the other KRSHies that I know who were also there. And of course Bret, who sings a bit too much like a young Wayne Newton for my taste but has great control of African Soka guitar method and writes some very, very good songs, with sweet social consciousness. I even got to meet his proud parents, and didn't make any disparaging references to Wayne Newton.

Bon Appetit et Bon Chance!
