A strange Physics question about how much dissipation of water from our planet goes into deep space?

and

What the temperature of the planet was when the waters were held in the atmosphere?

and

Now when the crust is thicker, and our planet has cooled, and people are in tooo abundance.

Are we eating the planet now?...

China a bit ago made harsh measures to reduce its population growth.

The Catholic church has a bit of guilt in the numbers now eating our planet.
don't you think?

What would a human do ?

I hope most humans live up to that title but I'm not holding my breath..

Hey now - before we actually try to answer the question lets capitalize on that idea and make bumper stickers and t-shirts ... Gotta raise awareness!

Oh yes, I think its time to exonerate the word human and indict people who make false claims to being so. It would be good for clarity.

On one side are those who are humans, and on the other, those who are not.

the descriptor here as to who is or is not human is the very next word in our dictionary after human~~~

Of course to go back to the original title here, one would like to think it is a matter of becoming human. A young woman at work asked me what The Value of Nothing (https://rajpatel.org/2009/10/27/the-value-of-nothing/) is about, and after telling her I invited her to look at it and she quickly says "oh I'm not interested in that kind of thing." From other conversations I know she's not inhumane, but just behaves much as a young teen might and she's not that young. (although I have to admit I'm not sure what today's norm would be) You hope to spark something in people but I suppose nobody has really completely figured that out yet - any (perhaps adult) educators care to share their experience?

Nothing is important.

Came up with that after a few years of reading political and social theory/philosophy. For further elucidation see Adorno's Negative Dialectic and/or Derrida's concept of difference. We're talk'in late '70's to early 80's here.

So for all yah shorties heah. Yeah, I'm "Old School" G, whatcha gonna do 'bout it!!!!

Gave Raj Patel's website/blog a very cursory peruse. He looks solid to me. At the moment I'm reading Pynchon's Against the Day, so it might be a while before I have time for Mr. Patel.

There's a difference between a thing presented for your own conclusions and a thing presented to persuade. I can get that in an instant whether its a conversation, a movie a book etc. and I am far more attracted to media that invites my opinion than a thing selling me on an idea. I am tired of being sold to. I am tired of ads and sale pitches that only want to close the sale and get on with the selling. I only say this to indicate a larger population that have a keen sense of when someone is trying to sell you something or inviting you into something I would not be hesitant to imagine your friend to be of like mind...

That movie is two parts, last night was part one. It lives up to its title. A good show worth paying for except its free.

One of the more interesting points it made was comparison of skeletal remains during a long period of climatic stability with those during a long period of abrupt climate changes and these themselves were periodic

During the periods of stability there wasn't much change in cranial capacity and skeletal structure of the hominid life of the day.

The changes occurred during the violent shifts.

So amidst all the uproar of climate change it is climate change that has led to us...

But now that were here lets complete the journey and truly become Human.

Actually, it began as curiosity but just not enough to explore the book - I didn't initiate it. I can probably engage in more of a conversation if I spend more time to be social, but I estimate a meaningful discussion would be a little hard to come by. The particular individual and the book isn't the point, just an example. Since I have no expectation that there would be much interest anyone thinking I'm trying to sell them on an idea is reading into it.

Actually that's probably more to the point - some people just don't read much.

"nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing,”

Speaking of the price of everything, here's a shameless plug to see fellow Wacco, and my friend, Craig Mason in the play The Price of Everything (https://www.waccobb.net/forums/events-classes/62076-come-see-craig-mason-price-everything.html) in Santa Rosa, Jan 22 - Feb 7th. More info here (https://www.waccobb.net/forums/events-classes/62076-come-see-craig-mason-price-everything.html).
