Can't find book name

A while back a person started a thread about books written in the local (Bay Area) area. In that thread 2 people recommended a great book that only had 3 letters. I can't find the thread.

So maybe someone could remember.

And maybe this could start a thread on "Great Women's Books", just plain out great fiction like "The Life Of Pi" or "A Painted House". Deep, meaningful, yet fiction.
