12yo bass player looking for music buddies

My 12 year old bass player son is very interested in finding a band or other musicians to play music with. He's actually pretty good and very musically openminded. When I asked him for a few interests to list he said The Police, Nirvana, Green Day, Jackson 5 and other old soul like Stand By Me and Brick House. He can sing too and is open to anyone else's musical suggestions.

Could be a great idea for a way to spend some of the coming school/holiday vacation time.
