Of course I know that some of them just think :imstupid: for not believing the same way they do. but I think they're just trying to cause to be :censored: opposing viewpoints.

what are those people willing to give up if they are wrong about global warming not happening?
I think they should be the first to give up something very valuable to them; like half of their land so that somebody and their whole family that got swamped by the floods from the rising sea levels can live there with them on their property here in the United States . also they should not bitch about it when people migrate to the United States from some other places that got flooded out, because of, in large part, their suborn denial of it when something could still have been done to prevent the worst of it; and their continued, spiteful, intentional, cynical attitude that exacerbated the unnecessarily, exploited, over-excessive use and contribution to it.
They better fucking not call it "welfare", it's not welfare! It's payback goddammit!

Is that a good enough answer? Oh I forgot one more thing there's nowhere left to go on the whole planet, to avoid that. So those of us that are in a position to make it not get much worse; are still trying. FYI, I have done my share of NOT populating the earth with more humans. I have not sired any children; & what thanks I get is; more weird reactions, and incorrect stereotypical assumptions, from people that make up absurd judgments about me than not. But life goes on.
I have even made the attempt at not having a vehicle or use fossil fuels, but in this society, because of the lack of horse trails, walking trails, infrastructure that supports walking, bicycling, and other forms of low energy consumption forms of transportation; therefore, I choose to drive my 1978 gas burner without a catalytic converter vehicle that came from out of state!
I would prefer to live in a place where I could use an electric car 99% of the time and sometimes public transportation. But that's not reality, because those oil companies need to make so god damn much money! Actually I would rather live in a cave, but it would be a cave of my own making, but it's not according to “Building code”! So there you go making assumptions about how people could live their lives. That sounds good for sound-bite, and that may or may not be true, but we don't know what we don't know.
Al Gore is not the only person that flies in jumbo jets.
Neither of us knows for sure what all of the personal uses of things that Al Gore does, including the jet travel which may actually balance out more than we might think. Maybe you live in a place where you can grow some of your own food, maybe you don't have to commute using an automobile to work, maybe you live on a big enough piece of property where you can selectively cut firewood so you're carbon consumption for heating your home may be neutral but right now for the vast majority of Americans, that's just not an available option.
You may be in a superior position to brag because of where you live and what property you own; about your using less carbon; or maybe you're just making an assumption on Al Gore's air travel and don't know anything else about what he does when he's not in an airplane to reduce his carbon consumption. Maybe Al Gore owns a large lot of land somewhere where there are a lot of trees on it, and because of him owning that land; that all those trees are not being cut down so maybe your argument is de facto. I don't know. I'm just saying that I think you're making assumptions that may not necessarily be correct.
It goes kind of like this; just because I did not like my teacher at school doesn't mean what the teacher was teaching me was incorrect.
So you think that the people that want to make the changes to curb global warming, as they see it should just lie down and let people with bigger airplanes, bigger cars, etc. run them over and essentially force them into the Stone Age?
At least they're (the AG-GW folks) not saying the best thing that we (in the developed world) could do for the environment is drop dead! They could say that and it might be true. LOL! I'm not into doing that anymore than you are. But the way some people (in the developed world) are reacting to it; it’s like they are thinking that's what they're being told. On the other hand the low lying Pacific Islanders are in essence being told to drown, so; “I”/ “We” can continue to redistribute into the atmosphere the naturally sequestered Carbon that took 100’s of millions of years to stabilize, and also soot-up the polar ice caps with coal particles.

So let's see Al Gore wrote a book, probably got $4-$5 million at the most for the book. He probably spent a lot of that in media to say what he wants to say about global warming. The oil companies on the other hand, are making billions of dollars and they are spending a lot more than Al Gore is able to. So; Q; who do you think is most likely to be paying the media off and also some scientists? A: not Al Gore.
