I am writing to tell you how much laughter and love you get from FOSTERING or ADOPTING OLDER DOGS OR CATS, and I am sure it is also true of HORSES or other animals.
I am FOSTERING an older HUSKY DOG and she is really smart. Opens Refrigerator door unless I remember to TAPE THE DOOR before leaving house. And, although I get angry with her because she gets hold of food not meant for her, I can't help but laugh. She is fully aware she should not do this but waits until I leave house to make a bee line for the refrigerator door.
She knows by now that all I do is fuss at her but don't hurt her. So, she just stays on couch or if she can, go out and wait for me to cool off. IT DOES NOT TAKE LONG BEFORE YOU just can't stop laughing at her expressions and actions.
And, of course, most of the time they have really good manners and walk with you without lunging toward other dogs...they know their commands and are usually good about obeying them.
SO PLEASE consider ADOPTING AND/OR FOSTERING an older animal. Re the canines, I specifically asked for an older AND LARGER dog. since these larger and older dogs are last as a rule to be fostered or adopted.
YOU WILL BE REWARDED WITH LOTS OF LAUGHS AND MUCH LOVE from your animal friends.
