Does anyone know of an ecologically or environmentally safe paint?

My wife suffers from MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) and she cannot tolerate the strong odors and fumes from paint when it is applied to walls or whatever.

If anyone knows of any sources, or even alternatives to paint (we only need to whitewash a bedroom wall), please post here on this thread.

Thank you,

Edward

Here's a good roundup of zero and low VOC paints:

Non-Toxic Paint, Nontoxic Paint (https://www.eartheasy.com/live_nontoxic_paints.htm)

I like the Benjamin Moore paints and used their low VOC, top of the line, Aura for the exterior of my house And I was quite impressed. They also have a zero VOC.

Mythic paints are carried by the Sebastopol ACE hardware store.

i would suggest a 1/4" plywood or maybe a wallpaper, but both of those can contain irritating chemicals also.

maybe, rice-paper type wallpaper ?
