Anderson Valley Rescue is a non-profit organization that is made up completely of volunteers. These volunteers foster all of the animals, animals that would have been put down at the shelter, animals with special needs, animals that just need a chill out period in a loving foster home, while looking for a permanent home.
By adopting an AVRescue animal, you are freeing up a space for another deserving one. Adoption fees are $150 for puppies under a year, $100 for young dogs and $50 for seniors. Fees include neutering/spay, current shots, heartworm tese, micro-chip.
The AVRescue dogs go to adoption day at Santa Rosa Petco on Santra Rose Ave. on Saturdays from 12-3.
Right now they have the following available doggies:
Timmy--Chihuahua, M 2yrs, small 5lbs., good with dogs, cats unknown, needs a quiet home with a female person. He is shy of males, kids, loves to go on walks.
Bart--Big Lab, Retriever, Pit cross, weighs 75lbs., 1 1/2yrs, energetic dog, great jogging partner, good with dogs, real cuddler, if you ove labs this guy is like a lab
MakaMaka--F, black and white Pitbull, high energy, well trained/socialized, 9mo., crate trained
Zephlin--M, 10mo., Hound Cross, has the cutest ears, looks like an airplane taking off when he runs. He is one happy doggie, good with dogs, older kids, cats
