Please attend this important council meeting next Monday in Healdsburg. Council meetings start at 7:00 PM, at <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">401 Grove Street</st1:address></st1:street>.
The local community group, Healdsburg First, convened by attorney and community activist <st1:personname w:st="on">Gail Jonas</st1:personname>, has lined up a set of speakers from the city of <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Healdsburg</st1:city></st1:place>. We need to have you show up to fill out the chambers and show your support for the proposed Community Impact Report (CIR). A CIR is a tool to empower citizens and legislators to make informed decisions regarding development decisions by requiring prospective developers to have a CIR study done to assess its impacts on local business, affordable housing, public health services, and neighborhood needs. It is meant to be a companion to the EIR (Environmental Impact Report); the EIR assesses environmental impacts, and the CIR assesses social impacts. This would mark a big step forward for the north county, and move us toward a more sustainable path to the future.<o:p>
