"Also to note here": (posted by Mitcho)
It's nice to know that this offer has also been presented a few days after the request for vendors. Seems kind of strange that it wasn't part of the original post....does that mean it was an "after thought"? Just wondering....:hmmm:
And how nice that "chairs are available" for the healers and/or fortune tellers, but not for those who pay the $250 for the outside space. I feel confused about all of this....
We know that Peace in Medicine is a "non-profit", but that doesn't mean they don't make money.....does it????
Another thing I wonder about is how many of the artisans who did so well last year, are going to do it again this year?
Why not, success builds on success. Those who made such great profits last year, can do it again this year!!
Has Peace in Medicine called those vendors to get them signed up to make some more profits, like last year? That's what I'd do. Get your client base in first, and then see what's left for new vendors.
Come on "ye profitable artisans from the past", get your space reserved now or there might not be any space left for you. We all appreciate you for paying the vendor's fee, so we can come to this event FREE, and buy your wonderful works of art. Unlike the Apple Blossom Festival, which we've been reminded.....is NOT FREE!!
By the way, how many indoor/outdoor spaces are there total, and how many are left?
Only 2.5 weeks left to go.... Don't wait too long or those spaces will be going.... going.....GONE! And you'll miss out on all those profits $$$$ Re-invest for your profits, and the community non-profits. Hey, that has a nice ring to it.
As it was stated by Mitcho from Peace in Medicine:
"We should" (why does this have a parental ring to it?) all be thanking and supporting those community entitites that are kind enough ) to pay the fee for vending so that we can provide these things for FREE. (When is it "KIND" to rent a space to sell things?) More confusion :hmmm: But it is another perspective, so I can appreciate the effort to help us understand why vendors pay to rent the space. It's "kindness".....and I so appreciate it.
People "should" do a lot of things, but who's to know for sure what others
"should" be doing? NOT ME! Let someone in a position of authority be the one to tell others what they "should" be doing. It's comforting in a way, knowing what we "should" be doing....it kind of takes the personal responsibility out of it, for choosing from our own guidance system.
And it's also comforting to know that vendors are showing "kindness" when they pay the vendor fee. I wonder how many of them actually realize that it's kindness, not a profitable business motive that has motivated them to put their money up for the vendor space. What a refreshing thought that is! I like it....."Kindness replaces intended profits as motive" Wow, now that's really wonderful!!!
Thanks for that new perspective; it changes everything I thought I knew about business.

We did this last year and folks who took advantage of this had a great day, got good, free PR ,and were supported by Peace in Medicine. This not only helped to create a celebratory carnival-like atmosphere at out event, but it gave a good, free gig to these local practitioners.
